ODESSEI Haiku through Japanese Architecture
The perception of place is largely subjective or even metaphysical. As such, these sketches and Haiku record which places caught my attention and activated my heart to capture the essence of what moved me.
Mirrors both natural and crafted were a frequent feature of the Japanese landscape. A mirror is the most sacred object in Shinto theology and lies at the heart of a Shinto temple, hidden in a box, as the reflection of oneself invites deeper understanding. I invite you to wonder at this visual diary which captures with sketches and Haiku poems a wonderful Japanese world as a reflection of myself. |
